Korea Indonesia Film Festival Kembali Hadir! Ada ‘The Bad Guys’, ‘Parasite’ Hingga ‘Bebas’

The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos menjadi salah satu film yang akan ditayangkan di KIFF 2019 / credit = CJ ENTERTAINMENT

Setelah kesuksesan Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2018, tahun ini KIFF akan kembali digelar. Film The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos, Parasite, Extreme Jobs hingga film Indonesia Bebas akan menjadi highlight dari festival film ini. Digelar di lima kota, yaitu Jakarta (CGV Grand Indonesia), Bandung (CGV Paris Van Java), Yogyakarta (Jwalk), Surabaya (CGV Marvell City) dan Meda (CGV Focal Point), KIFF 2019 berlangsung pada tanggal 10 Oktober hingga 13 Oktober 2019. Rangkaian acara dimulai dengan penayangan khusus atau pre event show yang akan menayangkan film Korea Sunny dan adaptasi Indonesianya, Bebas, pada 9 Oktober di CGV Grand Indonesia.

Acara tahunan yang diadakan oleh Kedutaan Besar Republik Korea untuk Republik Indonesia dan dilaksanakan oleh Korean Culture Centre (KCC) Indonesia dan CGV Cinemas ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kegiatan pertukaran budaya Indonesia dan Korea di Indonesia. KIFF diadakan pertama kali pada tahun 2013 dan kemudian menjadi acara tahunan dengan okupansi kursi rata-rata mencapai 70%, menunjukkan minat tinggi dari penikmat film akan Film Korea.

Film The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos yang disutradarai oleh Son Yongho dan dibintangi oleh Kim Sangjoong, Ma Dongseok dan Kim Ajoong akan menjadi pembuka KIFF 2019 pada 10 Oktober. Sementara itu, film Korea lainnya yang akan diputar selama festival di antaranya adalah Extreme Jobs, Tazza: One Eyed Jack, The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil, dan film pemenang banyak penghargaan, Parasite. Sedangkan film Indonesia akan menampilkan antara lain, Bebas dan Dua Garis Biru. 

Film Parasite memenangkan Palme d’Or, kategori tertinggi di Cannes Film Festival 2019 / Credit = CJ ENTERTAINMENT

Film Bebas adalah hasil adaptasi Film Korea yang berjudul Sunny / credit = Miles Films

Sebanyak 15 film Korea akan tayang selama KIFF 2019. Penayangan film-film Korea ini juga menjadi ajang pertukaran budaya dan diharapkan bisa memberikan manfaat positif untuk pelaku perfilman kedua negara dan juga memperkuat hubungan antara Korea dan Indonesia.
