Drama Arthdal Chronicles konfirmasi akan garap season ke-2!

Hari ini (23/9) bersamaan dengan berakhirnya drama Arthdal Chronicle, tvN memutuskan untuk memproduksi season ke-2. Tetapi produksi, waktu penayangan, cast, hingga kru drama belum ditentukan.

Perwakilan tvN menyampaikan bahwa drama ini sepertinya akan kembali digarap dengan kru produksi dan cast yang sama untuk melanjutkan cerita Arthdal Chronicle yang berakhir dengan baik.

Ada juga yang menyebutkan bahwa untuk memulihkan biaya produksi season ke-1, produksi season ke-2 sudah pasti digarap untuk meningkat pendapatan.

Arthdal Chronicles dilaporkan menginvestasikan uang sebanyak 54 miliar won sebagai biaya produksi untuk pembuatan lokasi syuting sebesar 12 miliar won serta biaya untuk menggandeng top star seperti Jang Dong Geun, Song Joongki, Kim Ok Bin, dan Kim Jiwon.

Meski perusahaan produksi dikabarkan telah memulihkan sebagian besar penjualan melalui iklan dan penjualan pada Netflix, perusahaan produksi tetap perlu mengamankan laba tambahan hingga season berikutnya karena investasi awal yang sangat mahal. Tetapi biaya produksi untuk season kedua diprediksi lebih efisien karena tidak membutuhkan pengeluaran untuk membuat set lokasi syuting.

Arthdal Chronicles yang pertama kali muncul dengan era ‘Tagon Fantasy’ mengakhiri season 1 pada tanggal 22 September. Dalam season 1 diceritakan sebuah suku yang belum mengenal konsep negara dan saling berkomunikasi satu sama lain dengan karakteristik dan budaya yang berbeda.
